People Operations & Analytics Specialist (Payroll Focus)

GlobalConnect is looking for an experienced HR Specialist with expertise in payroll to join our team in Fornebu. If you’ve managed payroll either inhouse in a sizable Norwegian company or as an outsourced partner, have HR and/or payroll related working experience from a Nordic matrix organization and are ready to take on a broader HR role, this opportunity is for you!
Your Role in Our Team:
Picture yourself as the trusted expert managing payroll processes while also contributing to the day-to-day HR support across our organization. You'll be ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance, while also serving as a point of contact for HR queries, helping with employee onboarding, through the employee life cycle and providing HR-related advice. This blend of responsibilities will allow you to have a direct impact on both operations and employee experience.
You’ll collaborate with HR, finance, and external vendors, making sure payroll runs smoothly and providing general HR guidance to our teams. The position reports to the Head of People Operations and Analytics Norway.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Handle accurate and timely payroll processing for our Norwegian workforce in close collaboration with the local team and outsourced payroll partner
- Be familiar with and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations as well as company policies
- Provide HR and payroll-related reporting, reconciliation, and auditing expertise.
- Offer HR support, including onboarding/offboarding, time & attendance, employee queries, and HR administrative tasks.
- Contribute to the improvement of HR and payroll processes for greater efficiency across the Nordic countries.

To Thrive in This Role, You Need:
- Proven experience managing payroll in/for a sizable Norwegian company.
- Experience in working with payroll and/or HR in a Nordic matrix organization.
- Knowledge of Norwegian payroll laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of payroll laws and legislations from other Nordic countries is an advantage.
- Knowledge of 24/7 shift planning, guard duty and rotation schedules is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and Quinyx or other HR and T&A systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with payroll and/or HR systems and processes, and an eye for detail.
- Eagerness to support the organization by providing general HR support across the countries, balancing payroll expertise with broader HR contributions.
- Education at bachelor's level within accounting/payroll, HR, or other relevant fields.
- Professional level of English and Norwegian language.
