As a Nordic Customer Operations Center Technician at GlobalConnect, you'll have an important part in our mission to provide top-notch customer service and maintain the highest standards of network reliability. Working from our modern facilities in Fornebu, you'll be at the heart of our operations, handling real-time monitoring and management of network events and alarms.
About the Role:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in guaranteeing satisfying customer interactions through prompt management of incidents and alerts. Picture this: it's a busy day at the operations center. Your shift starts, and immediately you're scanning through real-time data, identifying potential issues before they escalate. A customer's network service is down—your quick response and problem-solving skills come into play as you manage their inquiry, keeping them updated and working tirelessly until the issue is resolved. Each day presents a fresh set of tasks, ranging from cross-departmental collaboration throughout the Nordic region to engaging in detailed technical issues. Your judgment and ability to prioritize and act with determination will be important, and as you are often the only person on the clock, you will often have reasons to feel proud of your achievements, and how you handled stressful situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Respond: Keep a close watch on network events and alarms, ensuring swift action to mitigate potential issues.
- Troubleshooting and Fixing Issues: Quickly diagnose and resolve technical problems, knowing when to escalate critical issues.
- Customer Support: Handle customer inquiries related to service outages, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Proactive Management: Engage in effective alarm management to prevent problems before they impact our customers.
- Shift Work: Operate within a 24/7 shift schedule, including nights and weekends, to maintain continuous support. During these times, you may often work alone, acting as our primary defense against network issues.
- Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant teams and customers, ensuring everyone is informed about the status and resolution of issues.
- Documentation: Accurately document incidents and resolutions to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts.

To succeed in this role, you need:
- Experience or education in network administration, security, and/or cyber security.
- Certification or experience with technologies such as Cisco CCNA, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet.
- New graduates with the right education are welcome.
- Proficient in both Norwegian and English for effective communication.
