GlobalConnect are collaborating with DTU on several Quantum Communication projects funded by both EU and Innovationsfonden. To establish a function and enhance knowledge within our organization, we are looking for someone eager to participate in ensuring a secure way to keep communication safe in the Quantum technology era.

As a Quantum Engineer, your responsibilities will include to be part of the projects we are participating in and to collaborate with cross-functional teams both from GlobalConnect, leading universities, security companies and other relevant stakeholders. The focus will be on formulating relevant use cases, contributing expertise for field-trials, and ensuring the practical security perspective is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Your day-to-day activities may involve setting up meetings, exploring new use cases, and presenting findings to high-level stakeholders. This is a new role where you'll have the opportunity to develop the function from scratch and initiate new projects, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Lastly you will be expected to absorb, structure and share knowledge in the field of practical application of quantum safe technologies.

We're seeking candidates with a technical education in security, quantum or similar fields, with a keen interest in practical application. Experience or familiarity with quantum technology is desirable but not mandatory. The ideal candidate is collaborative, curious, and possesses an interest in the societal benefits of security. Proficiency in English is required, while Danish proficiency would be beneficial for effective business communication.

To succeed in this role we believe you have:

• A relevant degree from e.g., Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Niels Bohr Institute – University of Copenhagen or University of Southern Denmark (SDU) revolving around either security, network communications or quantum communication.
• A keen interest in security, particularly within the communication industry.
• Hands-on experience or interest in securing communication networks.
• Comprehensive presentation and coordination skills.
