Senior IT Category Manager

GlobalConnect Group Indirect procurement is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Category Manager to join our team in Copenhagen or Stockholm. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing our IT Services Category (purchase of IT Software, Hardware and Peripherals)   for our company. You will be a strategic and operational partner to our business and help execute on our IT supplier strategy, including analysing opportunities, planning, and executing procurement activities as well as develop and maintain relationships to our critical suppliers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement category plans that align with our strategic priorities to support our growth and profitability.

To succeed in this role, you should have a methodical and systematic approach to your work, with the ability to plan, define clear priorities, and allocate resources effectively. You should also be skilled at co-operating well with others, sharing knowledge, experience, and information and supporting our team in the pursuit of common goals. Additionally, you should be able to act on your own initiative, making things happen and take responsibility for the results.

As a Senior IT Category Manager with Pan-Nordic responsibility you should have the ability to quickly understand and analyse complex issues and problems, coming up with sound and rational judgments that can be easily communicated to a broad spectrum of key stakeholders. You should have specialist knowledge and expertise in your area and be committed to continuous professional development and acquire new knowledge within the IT domain.
 

Key responsibilities:

•    Identifying and realizing procurement opportunities in collaboration with the business 
•    Manage procurement processes for IT , including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and execution
•    Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including IT leadership and vendors
•    Act as a liaison between GlobalConnect and vendors to ensure contracts align with business objectives
•    Develop and maintain IT Category strategy and execution
 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with IT procurement and category management
• Strong background in procurement and vendor management
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with vendors and stakeholders
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
