Sustainability Consultant

Become our next Sustainability Analyst and contribute to both environmental and business success

As a Sustainability Analyst at GlobalConnect, you will play a crucial role in helping GlobalConnect reducing emissions and promoting sustainable practices across all departments within the company. Your responsibilities will include calculating and managing data collection for our business and analyzing targets to reduce these emissions. Additionally, you will work with carbon footprints, assessing and providing recommendations for sustainable practices.

In this role, you will also be responsible for researching and assessing our suppliers to ensure sustainability standards are formulated, agreed on and followed. This position involves working closely with other departments, such as Procurement, Audit, and IT, to provide support and guidance on sustainable practices.

As requests for more sustainable practices increases, we have a need for expanding our team and taking on more projects.

The telecommunications industry has not had the same sustainability requirements as other industries, such as fashion or farming. However, the range of impact that the industry has on the environment stretches from scares raw materials, WEEE recycling, air pollution and to landfill maintenance.  Moreover, the telecommunications industry’s future electricity consumption is expected to rise from 8% of global electricity consumption in 2010 to 14% in 2030 and the rise in traffic is only expanding*. A typical day in this role will involve collecting and analyzing data, communicating with in-house stakeholders, team members and customers, and creating presentations to convey the importance of sustainability and the solutions we offer.

• Strong skills in Excel and basic programming
• Good knowledge in Life cycle assessment and greenhouse gas accounting

• Educational background in engineering or technology
• Fluency in English

The ideal candidate for this role is dependable and a team player with a thorough approach to managing data. A passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact are also important motivations for this role. You don’t need any amount of years’ experience, the right knowledge can come from education or projects you have done in university, as well as job experience.
