Program Director – Lead Europe’s Most Ambitious Fiber Infrastructure Projects

As our new Program Director, you will spearhead some of the most ambitious and high-impact fiber infrastructure projects in Europe. These include the planning and execution of both undersea and terrestrial fiber networks, connecting countries and regions through state-of-the-art digital highways. You'll be responsible for managing complex, cross-border initiatives that span multiple regulatory environments, technical disciplines, and stakeholder groups.

This role includes:

• A mix of high-level strategy and hands-on project management
• Extensive stakeholder engagement from project conception to execution
• Daily collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, procurement, operations, legal, and finance
• Ensuring project plans are comprehensive and effectively implemented
• Mediating and negotiating contract terms
• Customizing technical solutions to align with company and customer goals
• Leading multi-million-dollar projects with significant strategic impact
• Shaping the company’s direction and influencing regional connectivity developments
   

To make history with us, you need:

• Proven experience within project management in complex, large-scale projects within the telecommunications sector. Experience in sea cable implementations is a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in navigating stakeholder interactions and facilitating consistent, clear exchanges amongst numerous internal teams and elevated external entities.
• A solid experience with handling contractual negotiations and risk management in projects of considerable scale and complexity.
• Financial acumen.
• Fluency in English, with proficiency in another Scandinavian language being highly advantageous.

GlobalConnect have main offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo. Applicants that can work out of the Stockholm office will be preferred, but other applicants will be considered.
