About the Role

GlobalConnect is seeking a new talent for our NOC (Network Operations Center), responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and operating GlobalConnect's core networks across multiple countries, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Your main tasks will include monitoring infrastructure, service platforms, and services across various areas, such as IP, MPLS, WDM, and more. You will be a key player in delivering outstanding customer experiences through professional communication with internal and external clients, field resources, and partners. This involves providing support and prompt updates during ongoing incidents and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in coordinating escalations to specialized teams.

You will work with equipment from leading vendors like Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel, and Extreme. Certifications or extensive experience working with these vendors will be advantageous for the role.

The position involves rotating shift work throughout the year.


  • Monitor infrastructure, service platforms, and services.
  • Terminal-based troubleshooting and fault resolution on IP, MPLS, WDM, and other technologies within GlobalConnect's network.
  • Continuous improvement through developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal tasks, focusing on quality assurance and new and existing routines.
  • Create excellent customer experiences through professional handling of external and internal customers, field resources, and partners.
  • Provide excellent customer support and continuous information to collaborating departments during ongoing incidents and fault resolution.

Professional Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Swedish and English. Finnish is an advantage.
  • Solid networking knowledge. Relevant education is an advantage, but professional experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • Experience in similar operational environments, with tasks related to monitoring and fault resolution in network environments.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL process framework; certification is an advantage.
  • Proactive and process-oriented approach.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
